Downloads This page contains links to files I am making available for download. Click on the appropriate link under the Downloads section of a file's description to begin downloading. Please read the Installation Instructions for Precision Flying Programme section before downloading files. If you have previously downloaded the version 5 files then you only need to download the Disk4.exe file. Replace your previous file on the install "disk 4" with the new version and reinstall the programme to update your copy. There is a new Help file for Version 5.0i included with the Disk3.exe and Disk4.exe download. When Disk4.exe is unpacked to a floppy, the new help file will be loaded on the floppy disk. Copy this file manually to the PF5 folder and overwrite your present Help file. The new Help file is automatically loaded if the new Disk3.exe file is downloaded and used for programme installation. The database included with the programme is the database from the 14 WPFC held in Sweden during the year 2000. This also has some test course latitudes and longitudes included in the Test 1 database. The included sample Garmin logger file (Logger.trk) is the recorded latitudes and longitudes around this test course. This is included so that people can see a sample competition course and the Track Made Good by a competition aircraft being visually displayed by the programme. The Garmin sampling time was every 10 seconds but the programme will accept samples every second. The programme interpolates the passing times for each timed point if the sample times are greater than 1 every second. If 'View -Times and Height from Data File' is selected, then rubbish times are printed for the Secret Points because there is no latitude or longitude for these points included in the database. If you wish to see a correct view of Times and Heights then go to the 'Leg Details' form and set all distances for Secret Points to 0. The programme will ignore any Timed Point that has a 0 distance from the Start of every leg. This is what would be entered for a real competition. The times starting at 03:08:38 are correct. These are UTC times as recorded by the Garmin. As New Zealand is UTC + 12 hours you will appreciate that I did not record this test in the middle of the night. The Minimum Height shown on the left of the Times and Height form is what the competition organisers decide is the minimum height for each leg in a competition. The actual heights (shown under each secret or Turning Point) in Garmin Logger.trk file is 9999 because it does not record height, so fills in the height at every sample with 9999. I hope this is not too confusing but I wanted to make the Swedish World Championship results available with the programme. ContentsInstallation Instructions for Precision Flying Programme
